Linkedin Resume 1.9

A new year = a new version of your favorite wordpress plugin ! It just contains some regexp improvements, bugs and compatibility fixes

So, here are my answers to the comments that you have posted :

  • Travis, I don’t want to change my variable name because I would have to add more code to take care of those who are doing an update from their current version. For the second comment, it seems that it is a WordPress want it to be like that, so I can’t change it easily
  • AmΓ©rico Dias, that’s fine, you helped a lot for the development of it πŸ˜‰
  • Jesse, I’ve added some text on the admin as you asked and changed “Jobs” to “Experience”
  • Some of you are asking for some caching but don’t have the time to do it those days… in v2.0 perhaps πŸ˜‰
  • Jorge, thanks for the bug report, I’ve fixed it in this new version πŸ˜‰

So, as you can see, all your comments are useful! Keep on commenting to make this plugin always more supernatural than it is!

  1. How can I add the code to my site with php/java code snippit. The short code will not work when adding to a template file. My site is wordpress – mostly Java I want to add a profile page and need to use a script and not shortcode. Thanks. (I am pretty new to code btw)

  2. The plugin has totally stopped working for me. I tried to deactivate, reactivate, reupload, etc. Nothing. When I click on the page that is supposed to display my resume, I get nothing, not even headers, sidebars or anything. I use WordPress 2.9.1 and version 1.8 had some bugs but it at least displayed something.

    Version 1.8 bugs:
    – I studied at 2 schools and only one is showing up.
    – I wrote some text before displaying my resume and that text shows up after my resume for some reasons.

    Here is my profile:
    My website:

I’ll let the dead link for a few hours in case you want to have a look at it. Just clik on resume at the top of the website.

Is it possible to post version 1.8 on It doesn’t seem to be there anymore.

Thanks for your work and the plugin!

    • Hi Matt, I have tried my plugin with your account and it works great on my server… So I can’t do a lot for you now because it seems to be a problem coming from your server (not enough memory perhaps?)… If you could find your apache error log, It would be easier for me to help you… I’m trying to put the old version available on the wordpress website right now.
      Cheers, Arnaud
